YW: How do you identify and prioritize opportunities for professional growth within your practice area?

SANKET: For me, professional growth is about staying curious and not shying away from new experiences. Early on, I mainly worked on corporate and M&A matters. But when I got the chance to work on white-collar crime caseswhich was completely new to me-I took it out of curiosity. Over time, I also started handling employment law matters, and now that’s become a big part of my work. I try to pay attention to where clients are facing the most challenges or uncertainty and make an effort to learn more in those areas. I also learn a lot just by working closely with colleagues and taking on different types of matters. Training and collaboration help me keep growing and stay updated.

YW: What’s the most significant shift you have observed in the legal industry in recent years, and how have you positioned yourself to respond?

SANKET: The biggest change I’ve seen is how much technology and compliance now shape our work. Clients want quicker, more practical advice, and there’s a stronger focus on preventing problems-especially around fraud, data, and regulations-instead of just dealing with them after they happen. To keep up, I’ve spent time learning about things like forensic tools, data privacy, and compliance. I also try to understand the business side of things, not just the legal side, so my advice is useful in the real world. I believe being approachable and open to learning from others-whether its clients or my colleagues- it really helps. The legal world is moving fast, but I think staying adaptable and genuinely wanting to help clients solve problems will always matter most.
